The Holy Scriptures:

The 66 books contained in the Old and New Testament is the inspired Word of God. We believe that the Holy Bible is God breathed and is relevant to our lives today as it was when it was originally written. 

We trust its accuracy- We believe its history-

We come under its authority-We receive its prophecies

(2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 120-21, Romans 15:4)

The Holy Trinity:

We believe that there is one God who is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and wholly good existing eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 

(Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Corinthians 15:28, 2 Corinthians 4:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:2-3, 1 Peter 1:2)

Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. While Christ was both God and man He was crucified as a substitutionary sacrifice so that all who believe in Him will be justified through His blood and will be saved. On the third day Christ arose from the grave according to Scripture and is now at the right hand of God as our great High Priest.

The Holy Spirit: 

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit has been sent to dwell, guide, teach, and empower the believer while convincing the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

(John 14:15-18, John 16:13, Acts 1:8, John 16:7-11)

The Fall of Man:

Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God. Through disobedience he fell away from God incurring both physical and spiritual death. All men are therefore born with a sinful nature and are separated from a life with God and can only be saved through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation through Grace:

God alone accomplished what is needed to be done for salvation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a sinless life and pay the price for our sins on the Cross. Salvation can not come through works; the conditions have to do with repentance and acceptance. Those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receiving the gift of eternal life.

Spiritual Gifts:

We believe that spiritual gifts are supernatural empowerments given by the Holy Spirit to believers in order to build up the church and extend the Kingdom of God. Because spiritual gifts were given to build up the church, the body of Christ, as long as the church is under construction spiritual gifts are needed. We believe that all spiritual gifts are still in effect today and will remain in effect until the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The gifts of the Spirit are to serve His purposes in the church and in our world. With the guidelines we have been given in God’s Word, believers everywhere should embrace the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives and move out to fulfill our Lord’s Commission.

Marriage:

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are joined in marriage. (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:18-25; 1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4) 

The Ordinances:

Water Baptism: Baptism is a symbol, a physical portrayal of an inner spiritual experience with God. (Matthew 28:19)

Holy Communion: Communion is a visible sign that symbolizes the death of Jesus Christ. As believers in Christ, we are called to partake in Communion as a remembrance that Jesus shed his blood and his body was broken to remove our sins and the judgment of God. The cup symbolizes the blood of Jesus and the bread symbolizes the body of Jesus. Communion is also a reminder that Jesus Christ is coming back physically to earth as the Triumphant Messiah, which Jesus predicted and the Old Testament prophesied. (1 Corinthians 11:26)

Foot Washing: During the last supper Jesus humbled Himself to serve His disciples by washing their feet. He then challenged His disciples to wash one another’s feet by His example. Foot washing is a sign of service to one another. (John 13:1-17)

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ:

The second coming of Jesus Christ is personal and imminent where upon He will receive all those who believe in Him. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.
